I vividly remember my teenage years, playing basketball with my friends in the park. The highlight of our games was always the elusive slam dunk—a move none of us had mastered. Determined to be the first, I devoted myself to learning how to dunk.
It was a challenging journey filled with countless failures and frustrating setbacks. I missed the rim, misjudged my steps, and mistimed my opponents' movements. Yet, I persisted, enduring scrapes and injuries along the way. My hard work finally paid off when I successfully dunked for the first time, an amazing feeling that soon turned into a consistent and powerful weapon in our games.
My friends watched in awe and one of them shouted, "You're like Shaq!" From that moment on, the nickname "Shaq" stuck with me, not just because of my height and skills on the court, but also for my ability to play the game much like the legendary Shaquille O'Neal.
This experience also taught me that perseverance and consistency pays off and sets you apart. It’s a lesson I carry into my professional life, where I help colleagues, athletes and organizations unlock their full potential by identifying blind spots and leveraging strengths.

With a lifelong dedication to sports, I am not only a seasoned professional but also an accomplished athlete. I've been playing football since the age of four, perfecting my skills both in the Netherlands and Germany. Currently, I am a goalkeeper for the professional football club VVV-Venlo, proudly representing the U21 team.
My journey as a goalkeeper has instilled in me mental toughness and resilience, which are reflected in my professional life. Balancing a demanding athletic career with a focus on sports marketing, I know how to prioritize and set achievable goals.
